SPEED, STRENGTH and STAMINA ara all important elements for any attacking midfielder. Attacking Midfielder are expected to make many tackles, challenges, running, header, firm passing and finding space in the centre of the pitch, therefore STRENGTH is important.
When the team is going forward, it is the role of the attacking midfielder to arrive late in the box at the crucial moment to get the vital goal. They must run on to through balls played from midfield and get ahead of opponent defenders. Therefore SPEED is essential.
Attacking Midfielder is also required to assist the team with defencive duties and to cover a lot of grounds, therefore STAMINA is vital.

SPACE
Soccer is fast moving - space that was there last time you looked, could have been gone.
Space may have been created elsewhere, find other options and be creative. We must use the space quickly when it is there, creating space by moving around or to time the run and to pass the ball fast and quick, so that there is a space when the ball arive and the opponents can't close you down quickly.
Good players makes good decisions, they 'see' the best pass and space. Good players seems to have the knowledge of being at the right space at the right time and they also know where their team mates are before recieving the ball. A good players always understand the team's tactics and follow every instructions given by the coach.
While Average players do not possess the above quality, average player just kick the ball around and chase after the opponents and very often losses the ball and makes mistakes.
DO WE WANT TO BE JUST AN AVERAGE PLAYER'S ???

CAPTAIN
The role of captain in a team has the potential to be both the most challenging and the most rewarding of all the player. One definition of the captain is to ensure that each player is in the right frame of mind to give all that they have to the team effort.
With the leadership roles and responsibilities shared among the players, the captains role remain central to the team's performance.
Not only must captains be competent in their playing, they need to inspire confidence in their players, evaluate the game plan. They need to handle pressure well, and communicate effectively with the referee as well as the team. The captain will need to encourage and manage on-field communication between all the players and maintain effective communication both with players and the coaching staffs.
Captains should be mentally strong. Inevitably, the captain will be criticised at some point, both within and outside the team.
The captain need to remain focused and aware whilst under intense pressure during the game, so that he can make the correct decisions at the right time.

Quotable Quotes
Quotes by Jose Mourinho "football is a game for intelligent people".
Quotes by Arsene Wenger "the knack of arriving in the penalty box a split second before a marker - was a weapon that many sides found impossible to combat"
Quotes by Roy Keane " Every football match consists of a thousand little things which, when added together, amount to the final score. The game is full of bluffers, banging on about 'rolling your sleeves up', 'having the right attitude' and 'taking pride in the shirt you're wearing".
Quotes by Johan Cryuff " I see defenders booting the ball away shamelessly. We could never play like that"
Qoutes by Hiddink "it is important to have players on the pitch with whom I can share my tactical thoughts, so they can implement them"
Quotes by John Peacock "success is only achieved not only by....good organisation, but by having exciting players who could beat defenders and score goals. In tight and difficult situations these players invariably put defenders on the back foot and force defenders deeper to stop the threat of players attacking the space behind them. Patience then become essentials in any teams"

PATIENCE :
Winning teams are often patient teams - they have confidence in their PLAN & their ABILITY to carry out the plan. Remember, Not every move will break through, but constant attrition will eventually wear down opponent and will produce the OPPORTUNITIES to score..
DEFENCE:
Must concentrate for the whole 90 minutes, one mistake could lead to a goal, one goal could and often LOST the game.
Whatever happens in the penalty area, DONT give any cause for the ref to give a penalty, if there is no fouls, there is always a chance the keeper will save it or opponent will miss.
Do not tackle unless you are sure you can win the ball. It is more dangerous to give away a free kick than let open play carry on - which is less likely to result in a goal.
KEY POINT: DEFENDER MUST STAY ON THEIR FEET, NOT GO TO GROUND
CORNERS:
Short Corners is effective if taken QUICKLY. If two players who look as if they are going to take short corner, the opposition will send a second man out, this means opponent have fewer defender in their area, so it is worth trying short corner.
